The 1980’s perception was that Japan was kicking American butt through some “mystical” recipe. "The Mind of a Strategist" by Kenichi Ohmae hinted at the Japanese mind. With the hype of the Japanese mystique over, the question remains - Does a profession require a specific mindset to be successful? Enterprise Architecture threatens to become a bubble that has peaked in the Federal Government, and the Department of Defense and is now on a down slope. Does successful EA require a certain mindset?
